Questions and Answers

If you're preparing for an interview, it's always a good idea to get a sense of what the interviewer (and their editor) wants to cover, even if you know you're not going to get a full list of questions.

And to be honest, there's usually a big question that's the reason why you're there in the first place - either your reason or the reason that the media outlet's contacted you.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy of Channel 4 News has written a piece on his blog about how awkward it can be, from the reporter's point of view, to ask some of those big questions.

Reviews - Stalker and Dougal and the Blue Cat

I fancied doing a bit more print journalism, as it'd been a while since I'd written a piece of any length. I mean, obviously we're not talking New Yorker length here, just a couple of hundred words to limber up a bit.

So I wrote a review of a Russian film, Stalker, by Andrei Tarkovsky.

And I was challenged in the comments box to review Dougal and the Blue Cat next. So I did.

Lumiere - Pass of Drumochter

A Lumiere is a silent film of sixty seconds or less. See the Lumiere manifesto at http://videoblogging.info/

I filmed this in Glengarry in Scotland, looking up the Pass of Drumochter.
